What a wonderful adventure! With the best-natured Ranger I've ever met! His passion and enthusiasm for mushrooms is palpable and contagious! Very inspiring lesson, and hike. Ranger Darling was extremely knowledgeable and was also very adept at teaching us! And we are left with memories of a mother load of a mushroom find, a gentlemanly rescue and bloody stripes on the legs. All worth it.

Had an excellent foraging hike . Ranger Darling is not only knowledgeable about mushrooms/ fungi, but his joyful surprise at our discoveries added to the hike. I would highly recommend this hike to anyone who has any interest in mushrooms or just wants a great day exploring the forest and trails. You will not be disappointed. Who knows you may go home with some wonderful additions to your dinner table.

🌟 5-Star Review 🌟 I booked this hike for my recent birthday, and I have absolutely no complaints! 🤠🙌🏾🥳 As someone who LOVES mycology, I was blown away by how much I learned about mushrooms and Georgia’s incredible natural beauty. 🍄🌿 The hike was about 3-4 miles, and I couldn’t be prouder of myself! 💪🏾 I had zero athletic experience or endurance, but the group was so encouraging, and Ranger Darling was amazing—super informative, enthusiastic, and just fun to be around. 🥾✨ It was my boyfriend and me along with a lovely family of five, and it was such a rare and heartwarming experience to walk away from a group of strangers feeling so good. 👫👨👩👧👦💛 That kind of connection doesn’t happen often these days! Signing up was SO straightforward, and everything about this adventure was perfect. I can’t recommend it enough! 🌟 I’m already planning to go again—this was an unforgettable birthday treat. 🎂🎉

This was a 10 out of 10 experience, my son and I had an amazing time! Our guide, Ranger Darling, was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate which added to the experience. We learned a lot about mushroom varieties and their medicinal properties. We also got to see firsthand on our hike several varieties that grow here in the local area. It's a must try and I will be returning for sure. I highly recommend Hikes of Georgia.
