Nature Education, Fungi Workshops, and Ecological Data Programs

Hikes of Georgia offers nature-based education, fungi learning experiences, guided outdoor programs, and ecological data services for nature centers, libraries, schools, community groups, and organizations across Georgia.

Our work blends outdoor exploration, mushroom education, community science, and conservation storytelling to help people build a deeper relationship with Georgia’s ecosystems.

Fungi & Foraging Workshops

Educational workshops focused on mushroom identification basics, fungi ecology, seasonal awareness, ethical foraging, and safety. These programs are ideal for nature centers, libraries, gardening clubs, schools, and community groups.

Library Talks & Presentations

Engaging indoor presentations on Georgia mushrooms, fungi ecology, community science, nature exploration, and the role fungi play in healthy ecosystems. These talks are designed to be accessible, visual, and beginner-friendly.

Youth & Adult Nature Programs

Hands-on outdoor learning experiences designed for youth groups, farms, schools, and community organizations. Programs can include fungi walks, plant awareness, ecosystem exploration, nature observation, and beginner-friendly environmental education.

Guided Group Hikes

Private or partner-based guided hikes for groups interested in exploring Georgia’s trails while learning about local fungi, native plants, wildlife, and ecosystem relationships.

Corporate Nature Events

Nature-based team experiences designed to help groups reconnect outdoors, reduce stress, and learn about Georgia’s ecosystems through guided walks, mindfulness in nature, and educational activities.

Ecological Data Reports

Through Hikes of Georgia’s data-focused work, we create ecological reports, dashboards, and visual storytelling projects that help organizations better understand community science data, biodiversity trends, water quality, fungi observations, and conservation impact.

Please Note: Hikes of Georgia provides educational programming only. Wild fungi should never be consumed without expert confirmation and proper identification.
